"I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes." - Matthew 10:23
Jesus gave us the words to indicate that we will never be done spreading the gospel, even in the places that should know it the best. News of missions from far away, exotic places is easiest to capture our attention, but often the best opportunities are much more accesible to us. The Mandarin group is organizing a "Mid-West Mission Trip" to Missouri and Arkansas to reach out to the newly arriving students for the new school year. The targetted students will mostly be from China, but there will be some from Taiwan and Hong Kong.
There are about 6 members of HOC6 signed up to go so far. We hope for 10 to 12 to join the trip. Pray that God's power will be with them, that the Holy Spirit will be preparing the hearts of these new students, and that a great harvest can be made for the Kingdom of God.
PRAY FOR OUR CONGREGATION
1. Praise God for four new babies and three more on the way. Pray that God's blessings will be with our new parents as they adjust to their new life.
2. Pray for our Sunday School program as it develops more. We will need more assistance with the younger children over the next few years, but more help is needed now if we are to provide a chance for Sunday School helpers to be able to enjoy the full worship service periodically.
3. Pray for our Friday night small groups as we reorganize and set new directions.
4. Pray that God will grant the Shepherd Team unity and a vision as we seek the new direction for our congregation and God's will for our spiritual leadership.

5. Pray for our upcoming Good Friday and Easter programs. Our past practice has been to involve everyone to a greater extent in this as we remind ourselves of what Christ did for us. Pray that God will convict and inspire different people to lead us in this time of worship.
PRAY FOR THE REST OF OUR CHURCH
The Cantonese congregation has been stable. Pray that God will bring them more younger couples to encourage them. They are also praying about God's will with regard to finding a pastor for the Cantonese congregation. Please join them in prayer as they seek God's will.
